Seminar: Multidimensional Channel Sounding in Mobile Radio

Berlin, July 10th, 2012

CSS - Seminar 2012 brochure

Seminar content

Objective of the seminar is to provide an overview of real-time multidimensional channel sounding in theory and practice. The lecture describes the best practice in system design, antenna array calibration, and high-resolution parameter estimation. The estimated parameter set may be used to generate input/output data for over-the-air (OTA) evaluation of application specific MIMO radio system invirtual radio environments. Furthermore we are presenting a novel polarimetric MIMO sounding architecture with up to 7 GHz bandwidth and real-time operation. We introduce its application for wireless LAN and PAN systems design andstandardization issues (IEEE802.15.3c, IEEE802.11ad).

Target group

We are addressing this seminar to researchers, developers
and operators of communications systems which are
working in the field of system design, evaluation and
planning. The contributions emphasis theoretical aspects of
channel sounding, including ultra wide band issues, the
description of measurement systems available with live
demonstration and reference applications.
